With the support of Habitat for Humanity Argentina, María took matters into her own hands. Through training and access to resources, she installed a full bathroom system, improving her daughter's quality of life. This is just one example of the incredible work Habitat does.
The recently released annual report for Habitat for Humanity International's fiscal year 2025 highlights their global impact. In that year alone, they helped 3 million people build or improve their homes. But their reach extends further; an additional 20.8 million people gained access to training and advocacy, empowering them to improve their housing conditions.
Jonathan Reckford, CEO of Habitat for Humanity International, emphasizes the importance of collaboration: "Habitat communities worked hand in hand with families to create lasting change worldwide." This collaborative approach is at the heart of Habitat's mission, which extends beyond construction to include advocacy and policy reform.
With the support of donors and partners, Habitat continues to innovate and expand its programs. Habitat Capital, for instance, provides loans to increase housing stock and offer affordable mortgages in the U.S. In FY2025, they provided over $54.5 million in loans to Habitat affiliates across 23 states.
The MicroBuild Fund, part of Habitat's Terwilliger Center for Innovation in Shelter, has disbursed $230 million to date, helping 1.18 million individuals in 33 countries improve their housing. This fund is just one example of Habitat's commitment to innovation and collaboration.
Habitat's Home Equals campaign, a five-year global initiative, aims to provide safe and adequate housing to 15 million residents of informal settlements. So far, it has impacted 7.9 million people and successfully advocated for 65 policy changes that shape housing options in these communities.
In the U.S., Habitat for Humanity Virginia and its affiliates have advocated for a new grant program to provide down payment assistance to first-time homebuyers. This initiative, with an allocation of $5 million, aims to reduce wealth gaps and build generational wealth.
During the past fiscal year, the U.S. Habitat network's advocacy efforts resulted in 142 successful policy changes, improving access to affordable homes for over 1.4 million people and unlocking over $6.65 billion in government funds for home affordability at local and state levels.

The FY2025 annual report provides a comprehensive overview of Habitat for Humanity International's activities and financials, including the network of Habitat affiliates in the U.S. and national organizations and program partnerships in over 60 countries.
In FY2025, Habitat reported $383 million in revenue, with an estimated total revenue of $3.1 billion through its federated network of Habitat organizations worldwide. The audited financial statements are available on their website.
