A Snow King sculpture, crafted from a snow pile on a Brooklyn sidewalk, has become an unexpected tourist attraction. The massive, lifelike snowman, created by Belarusian artist Henrik Lojka, features a bearded, crowned face reminiscent of Poseidon. It was shared widely on social media, drawing dozens of curious onlookers to the House of the Lord Pentecostal Church on Atlantic Avenue. Visitors, including a Parisian visitor, a 25-year-old woman, and a 26-year-old woman, praised the sculpture's creativity and unique appearance. Some even took the opportunity to interact with the sculpture, poking its eyes and stealing its nose. The artist, Lojka, who previously created sand sculptures of Belarusian historical figures, spent three hours crafting this snow masterpiece. His inspiration came from the desire to highlight the crown's beauty against the New York City backdrop, a nod to the city's diverse cultural influences. This unique art piece has sparked curiosity and a detour for many, showcasing the power of public art to captivate and engage the community.
