National Assembly Condemns Indian Minister's Controversial Remarks on Sindh
In a recent development, the National Assembly has taken a strong stance against the controversial remarks made by an Indian Defence Minister. The Assembly passed a resolution condemning the statement that suggested Sindh could potentially be a part of India, which was deemed historically inaccurate and politically irresponsible.
Asad Alam Niazi, the mover of the resolution, emphasized that such comments contradict the established geopolitical facts of the Indo-Pak region. The Assembly reaffirmed Sindh's status as an integral and sovereign part of Pakistan, urging all parties to refrain from spreading misinformation and biased narratives that could potentially destabilize the region.
The Assembly's action comes as a response to the growing concerns over the impact of such statements on regional stability. It is a significant step towards maintaining the integrity of Pakistan's territorial integrity and sovereignty.
Additionally, the Assembly addressed other matters during its session. Four bills were presented, including amendments to the Karachi Port Trust, Islamabad Capital Territory Senior Citizens, National Fund for Culture Heritage, and National College of Arts Institute. The government's efforts to enhance Islamabad's infrastructure, such as tackling smoke-emitting vehicles and implementing advanced transport systems, were also discussed.
Furthermore, the Assembly passed three bills, including the King Hamad University of Nursing and Associated Medical Sciences, Daanish Schools Authority, and Qanun-e-Shahadat Amendment. These bills were previously approved by the Senate, indicating a collaborative effort in legislative matters.
The National Assembly's meeting is set to continue tomorrow at 11 a.m., where further discussions and decisions are expected to be made.
