Exciting Winter Fun Awaits! As the holiday season approaches, the Fernie Memorial Arena and Aquatic Centre are thrilled to announce an expanded schedule for skating and swimming during the winter break. This is a fantastic opportunity to enjoy more time on the ice and in the water!
You can look forward to our midday Skate & Shoot sessions, which allow you to practice your shooting skills while enjoying the ice. Additionally, there will be extended hours for public skating, providing you ample opportunity to glide around and have fun with family and friends. Don’t miss out on the all-afternoon public swim sessions, perfect for making a splash!
And here’s where it gets exciting: mark your calendars for special events! On December 22, join us for a magical afternoon of FREE skating with Santa, a delightful event that’s sure to bring joy to children and adults alike. Following that, we’ll have special swimming and skating activities on Boxing Day, providing even more ways to celebrate the holiday spirit.

Please keep in mind that both the Arena and Aquatic Centre will operate under reduced hours from December 24 to 26 and again from December 31 to January 1. Make sure to check the schedules and plan your visits accordingly!
